During the summer the weather is quite tropical.  It becomes humid and you get more rainfall.  However, the rains generally don't last long and you can expect some glorious sunshine the rest of the time.

One of the reasons Walt Disney chose to build his park here was the all year round good weather.  Florida is a fantastic to visit in the very hot summer months and to escape cooler climates in the winter as well.

The evenings remain mild into the fall and you will be able to visit your favourite restaurant wearing shorts and a t-shirt and not feel chilly.

2004 was a disasterous year for Hurricanes.  With Orlando in Central Florida it hasn't been hit as hard as some of the coastal regions but there was some damage.  We visited shortly after the last hurricane and it was amazing how quickly they tidy up.  The hurricane season is July to September but remember this was the worst year on record and not typical.
