Situated near Universal and just off of the I-4 is Sea World and Discovery Cove. Sea World is first and foremost dedicated to marine life and has some fantastic attractions. Thrown in for good measure are some good shows and a few thrill rides. Turning right as you enter takes you to a couple to of the main attractions; Shamu and Wild Arctic. Shamu is a, not to be missed, killer whale show where there is every chance of you getting very wet. Sit up high if you want to stay dry! Next door is Wild Arctic. A simulator helicopter ride delivers you to their polar exhibit with walrus, polar bears, seals and whales. Moving anti clock-wise gets you to the Hospitality Center (this place is owned by a brewery) and the Clydesdale horses. Next is the show Odyssea a circus with an underwater theme. You have now reached the left (and larger) hemisphere. There's no logical route around here so in no particular order the attractions:- SHARK ENCOUNTER Walk through the biggest acrylic tunnel in the world to get a close encounter with barracuda, eels, venomous fish and, of course, sharks. MANATEE RESCUE See the endangered manatees and learn more about them in the presentation. CLYDE & SEYMOUR sea lions and an otter star in this light-hearted show. Get there earlier to enjoy the pre-show rather than be part of it! PENGUIN ENCOUNTER Take a trip around the penguins and then turn around to check out their counter parts the puffins. It really snows in there. KRAKEN is the tallest, fastest and only floorless coaster in Orlando. JOURNEY TO ATLANTIS is a water ride with an almighty drop at the end. DOLPHIN COVE most peoples favourite with everyone wanting to get a chance to touch the creatures. You can even buy fish to feed them. STINGRAY LAGOON another chance for you to cut down on Sea Worlds food bill. SKY TOWER a 400 foot tower giving a great view of the park and Orlando (extra fee). DINING as usual there are plenty of places to eat some nicer than others. For the best experience try the Sharks Underwater Grill or book in advance to dine with Shamu. The Makahiki Luau is a special evening event. You need to book and it isn't included in your entrance money. Polynesian food and entertainment.
