There really is lots to see and do here - plan ahead!

Opened in 1989 this is a celebration of MGM films with some great rides and shows thrown in.  Below is our idea of the main attractions in no particular order.  Check out a map of the park and try to pick a route.  Remember to make use of your fast pass (see ticket information for more details).

THE TWILIGHT ZONE TOWER OF TERROR

A  very popular attraction which seats you in an elevator, takes you up 13 floors and drops you.  The lift then races back up, opens the door showing you momentarily most of the park before taking you back to ground level a little quicker than you normal elevator would - Great Fun!

Don't do this just after lunch! 

ROCK 'N ROLLER COASTER STARRING AEROSMITH

Close to the Tower of Terror giving you the opportunity to ride one whilst using your fast pass to reserve your ticket on the other.

You need to get to the Aerosmith gig in a hurry so they lend you their limo.  This roller coaster is inside, in the dark and goes upside down all whilst you listen to some rock music.  - Got to be done.

STAR TOURS

A simulator ride based on the Star Wars (TM) theme.  A droid is charged with taking you to a small planet on a transport ship.  It's his first time and things don't go according to plan taking your ship through a Star Wars battleground.

BACKLOT TOUR

What starts off as an interesting explanation of how a naval battle is shot moves on to show you some props from real movies - oh and there is something else.  If you haven't done this before just go with the flow - you will love it!

THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE

A gentle ride through some of the great MGM movies of the past.  A little surprise along the way.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?

A limited number of shows for this very popular attraction.  If you fancy it use your fast pass to ensure your ticket.

INDIANA JONES (TM) STUNT SPECTACULAR

Show taking you through some of the most famous scenes in the Indiana Jones films.  Nicely done and it's under cover (lovely if it's a really hot day).

JIM HENSON'S MUPPET VISION 3D

Fun muppet entertainment for everyone.

ABC SOUNDS DANGEROUS

Set mostly in the dark you enjoy the show through special headphones as Drew Carey's stakeout goes not according to plan.

There is a playground where you can let the kids play in a giant garden (Honey I shrunk the kids style) whilst you relax and a number of other shows including Beauty and the Beast.  A daily parade includes cars and stars.

Lots of places to eat, as you would expect.  By going to dinner at Brown Derby or Hollywood and Vine you get tickets for reserved seating to Fantasmic.

Fantasmic is a show performed after dark. The semi-circular seating arena is adjacent to a lake with an island in the middle.  Fireworks, lasers and fire are combined with characters and boats to produce a truly wonderful show.
